Your little red bass

Watt-

Hey, what's the difference between a Gibson EB-0
and a Gibson EB-3? I'm thinking about bidding
on an EB0 on ebay and wanted to know how it differs from yours.

thanks-

Rini

Thumbs up little red bass

hey, i'm not mike watt, but i do know the difference: you see the EB-0 is an SG like bass with one humbucking neck pickup,on the other hand the EB-3 is an SG like bass with one humbucking neck pickup and one humbucking bridge pickup. now what this does tat mean? well it provides a much thicker sound, so it's a big difference, but not to say that the EB-0 sucks, because 1)i don't know your taste and 2)few companies put out a totally crappy bass, and if they do, it's just according to people's opinions, so get it if you want, but it's just not going to sound like watt's. Also watt's EB-3 does not have the original neck pickup, it has a replacement pickup by dimarzio called the model one.
glad i could help

george-

yep, you helped. Thanks man. That's pretty much much what I thought, since I noticed that the EB3's had 4 knobs. I'm not really tryin' to copy Watt's sound, but I want one for the one of the reasons he does too. After playing my stingray for more than an hour, my hands start cramping
big time. So..I'm looking for something with a small and fast neck. Plus the EB3 look pretty damn cool too. Anyhow- thanks again for the info.

Mark
