John Myung going back to EBMM?
From the new Systematic Chaos E-Press Pack,John Myung is seen playing a Bongo 5-String (in silver yumyum ).
Could we be seeing a EBMM JM in the future?

He should go to another custom maker like he did when started playing Tung basses. Get himself a nice new 6'er, not one of those diabolical Yamaha models...

This was discussed by Sterling Ball on the EBMM site recently. Apparently Myung is using a 5 string occasionally and has recorded some stuff with it.
I'm sure he will be one of the first to try out the Bongo 6 when it is released.

Unless EBMM has radically changed their stance, there won't be ANY signature MM basses. IIRC, that's what pushed Flea to switch to Modulus several years ago.

Exactly. Sterling Ball made this point on the EBMM website recently also. Flea went to Modulus after EBMM wouldn't give him $$$ and a signature model. SB said he couldn't as it wouldn't be fair to Tony Leven and many others.
Strange that the have a handful of signature guitars but no signature basses though.....

EBMM had signature guitars to boost the sales and reputation of their guitars.
Their basses are already legendary with a high reputation so they don't make signature basses for ANYONE. Flea wanted a signature EBMM a few years back. When they refused, he moved to Modulus.

Didn't he play on at least the first DT record with a 4-string Ray?

I've been around long enough to remember when EBMM guitars were practically non-existant. They needed those artists to boost that line.
Their basses never did and still don't need any artist signature help. I'm glad too...I kinda hate the idea of 'sigantures' anyway.

If I'm not mistaken he recorded it with a four string passive Fender Jazz.
Edit: I just checked John Myung's Wiki, and it said he used both a MM Stingray and a Fender Jazz.

From what I can remember he has had that 5-string for a while now, I remember seeing him have one around in the video for the making of Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence.
