The Krappy Bassists Klub

Another inevitability is happening, the official Krappy Bassists Klub.

I am an about-to-be Krappy owner (I'm ordering a Twiggy 4-string UBG after I get back from a week's vacation).

So come on in folks, those who play some form of Krappy low frequency creation, here's your spot

Although I cant be a memebr of the Klub yet (don't own one, but I'd like to someday), I feel the same rules should apply as to other clubs:

"No Krappy pics, no Krappy Basses"!

C'mon, let's see those Kool pieces o' Krap!

Well, I'll certainly be posting pics of my build as it progresses. I'm awaiting the arrival of some Gotoh bass tuners for mine, after which I'll ship thiose off to Kevin with full payment.

I came very close to purchasing one of his touch-style instruments. They are surprising un-Krappy quality as opposed to his other builds I love his build specs....."some electronics that were lying around....a couple pieces of left over wood from a lumber yard...." haha

I'm in.

My pics and clips are up:
http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=453162

I stuck my clip up on YouTube yesterday (in addition to its original home on Flickr), with keywords that pop it up when folks look at other Krappy Klips.

Color me a Member!

I have a Jazz but don't play jazz.
I have a Precision but don't play with precision.
I had a Musicmaster but am no music master.

I can play crappely so I'm seriously (seriously?) thinking of getting a touch style.

Krappy, Krappy, Krappy!

You can hear it on the song "Czerwony pas" (krappy kover of a Polish folk song) at http://www.myspace.com/wmangler - it's the distorted track. I think I used the three-string neck.

And some guy who isn't me playing it:

If his band ever gets famous I'm gonna use that photo to blackmail him.

Tripleneck

Hey, pklima,

Kevin shows that triple on his site as a left-hander, and his photo shows the strap button on the 3-string neck. Do you play it left or right?

Actually, I don't mind letting either Owl or Kevin be #1 - Owl started the Klub, and Kevin, well, he _is_ the Krapmeister :-)

My name is Joe, and I have been a Krappy Bass owner since August 2008. My weapon is a two-string fretless neck-thru model, which the Krapmeister has christened "FretLesPaul".
I also own a '75 Precision, 4 banjos, three accordions, and an assorted bunch of percussion. I've dicked around with other folk's fretless basses, but never owned one until now - although I have always wanted one. As far as the 2-string business, I've been fascinated by the concept ever since I spotted the Longbow Bass on-line. The more I saw bass players with 5 and 6 string axes, the more I became determined to own a 2-string! If you knew me personally, you would totally understand! So my Krappy is 2 dreams realized (fretless AND two-strings), in one sweet & inexpensive package! I am lovin' it. That's my kid Ryan on drums... and those are truly crappy drums with a "C" ... just check out that cymbal. We have fun in the basement making family noise.

Anyway... Krappy Klub is for me... here I am...let's jam.

PS - I am in Castleton NY (across the river from, and a little southeast of, Albany)
