1987 EBMM SABRE - White

Recently purchased this from a fine gentleman and fellow TB brother - The white one shown here:

Thought that I would try active electronics...again

Played it just a few times in the house.

EXCELLENT CONDITION

This is a wonderful instrument that really should be played more

Beautiful, thick rosewood board on a wide/flat neck. Some nice birdseye on the back of neck too.

All sorts of info and detailed pics available in the original thread here:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showth...ght=1987+sabre

$1200 Shipped (CON US ONLY)

ADJUSTED TO $1050 plus actual Shipping Charges

Greg

What's the knobs' function?

Volume/bass/treble?

Does it come with a case?

bdgotoh, Thanks so much for posting the electronics info/diagram!

Lots of great (usable) tones in there

Yes, it comes with the original HS case - G&G style with black interior.

Neck Profile is WIDE/FLAT - nut width is 1 3/4"

I do not have a set of calipers, but the Sabre neck has a very similar profile/shape to the neck on my my 1966 Fender Precision Bass, which is also 1 3/4" at the nut and is a "C".

Almost everyone who has emailed me has asked if I am firm on price so let's do this:
$1050 plus actual Shipping costs

Q: " I can't see the pole piece on the pups... Are those the original buckers? "

A: The HB's are indeed original and correct for this transitional period - they have solid covers on them, similar to Bartolini's....or Kubicki Factor PU's

Only the early Sabres had exposed pole pieces like Stingrays. The later ones had full covers like this one.
