Touring Rigs of the Stars

A la this thread : http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=417782.

Unfortunately, I don't have any info to start with, but I am really curious and couldn't find this all in one place. Lots of "XXXX's live amp" threads, but I was hoping for something more consolidated with lots of pictures. Thanks if you can help!

Guitar World's youtube channel does a cool series of "gear tours" and I wish bass world or someone would do something similar for bass player's rigs.

Ben Kenney (Incubus) has used several rigs since he has been in Incubus. However, all of them have been Mesa Boogie rigs.

Lakland basses -> pedalboard -> Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout 1x12 (x2) -> Mesa Boogie Scout Bass Radiator 1x12 (x2)

OR

Lakland basses -> pedalboard -> Mesa Boogie Big Block 750 -> Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 8x10

He used an ampeg SVT-1000. Solid state with the EQ sliders. You can see it better in some of their other pictures.

My mistake. He also has used SVT-3s on some occasions. Editing original post now.

I can't find the pictures, but if I do, I have some good shots of Cory from Minus the Bear's rig.

I think the best pics I have are when he still had the Mesa 400+ and Mesa 8x10. He then moved to an Ampeg SVT-CL/810e, and most recently he had an ashdown EVO series.

Manny Carrero of Glassjaw/Saves the Day (not my pic):

92 Fender Precision Plus, Ampeg SVT-II Pro, Ampeg 810e. Uses a boss tu2, fulltone bass drive, what looks like a morely wah, and another boss pedal I couldn't make out. Dark color, three knobs, maybe a trem?

Brian Kienlen - Bouncing Souls

saw the souls last night (the picture is not form last night)

this what i could tell from what he had on stage

he had his 60 something jazz ---> svt 4 pro ---> 2 ampeg 8x10s

his tone was a whole lot cleaner than it usually is, the only disappointment of their set.

he did have a much older looking ampeg tube amp (looked like a CL) sitting on top of his racked svt4pro but it was on standby the entire time and didnt have anything plugged into the front inputs.

Cory has also been recording with a Verellen Meat Smoke:

And here's another pick of Manny, this time using an Aguilar DB750:

This one's a Basslab.
Last year when I saw them, he was using his Spector.

Good idea for a thread!

JMJ just started using an Aggie rig when the new NIN tour kicked off. No pics, but he's running a DB750 through a DB412 and a DB810 (with more than a few pedals, we can presume ).

And there's the unforgettable Johnny April rig.

From Bass Player (Nov 2008, pg 28)

Spector Bass > Avalon 737sp preamp > Crown Microtech power amps > 2 Ampeg SVT810 cabs + 2 custom Ampeg 2x18 cabs + 4 JBL Horns.

I saw Staind live when they were in Waterloo, IA and it was awesome. I tried snapping a picture of his rig with my phone after everyone started clearing out but couldn't get a good shot.

This is the best I could get:

It was way more impressive in person.
