How about a Squier version of the red double pickup "Tele" style bass ... like the one in this picture, taken at the 08 Summer NAMM show.



... I know they showed a USA custom shop version, but it's a little pricey @ 6k

I'm not interested in Squiers either way, but I'd like to see a fretless PJ bass.

I suppose that Ebony would be out of the question, so Ebonol for the fingerboard.
Unlined of course, though it might not sell as well since, being a Squier, the bass is aimed toward beginners.
