had a listen tonight with my 400+....sounded good but the skin was coming of in more than a few spots even though the gear looks well looked after.....and the wheel frames were a tad bent.....could not justify 600cdn for it.....

the tolex (skin) rips pretty easily on the newer ones so that's pretty common. $500 US is usually the average going rate for one. i purchased one locally for $350 US that was cosmetically beat up but worked like new. i retolexed and regrilled it to match my VR head and it looks like new now. i also replaced 4 of the speakers with jensen Mod10-50's and, IMO, it now sounds like an Ampeg 8x10 is supposed to.

i offered the guy 500 cdn,and he lives less than a mile away,if he changes his mind.....we're nearly at par with the greenback these days....

they made tons of them, and i'll find a good one at a good price yet.....i saw that mod and i'm getting a picture of why the older ones are still in demand....

i still have my ph 6x10 so i'm not suffering too badly.....thanx for the input tho'

Hey, fellow winnipegger. If you end up picking up that 810, and feel like getting rid of that 610, get a hold of me via PM, or email at dukeisdog@hotmail.com

It'd be a lot easier then shipping the beast.

Edit: Or even the other way around. If you pick up that 810, and decide you're not a fan of it, and you'd rather keep your mesa.

if you want the 8x10 at that price i will email him with your number....he seems pretty firm, but it appears to be decent, just more than i would pay....the mesa stays put either way
