Definitely correct. He's more of an upright player though. When I saw him, he was doing all kinds of crazy stuff with his upright. He was hitting the sides and basically beating it up.

Yeah, he's definitely got his own style on the upright. The only other player I've seem use similiar techniques is Avashai Cohen (w/Chick Corea). I think Chris Wood also has a unique stlye on the electric bass too. He's funky and syncopated without coming out of the Jaco school that so many player come from. Have you seen Chris Wood play elctric bass with a guitar slide?

There was one point where he was able to play a note way up past the pickups on his P-Bass. I never knew how he did that. I guess that's the slide you're talking about.
