Post Accident kills Vancouver blues bassist

James 'JT' TaylorVancouver blues musician James "JT" Taylor, 33, has died and fellow band member Matt Pease is in hospital after an accident in Hope, B.C. Taylor played upright bass and trumpet for the Twisters, a four-man blues band from Vancouver. Pease is the drummer. Taylor died when the pickup he was driving struck a semi-trailer Saturday. The truck driver, Donald Galagun of Maple Ridge, also died. Pease, a passenger in the pickup, was airlifted to Vancouver with serious internal injuries. The other two band members, Dave "Hurricane" Hoerl and Brandon Isaak were travelling in a car behind the pickup. Their car slammed into the pickup during the accident, but they escaped serious injury. They were treated in hospital for minor injuries and released. Read more.
