Carson Childers is a 20 year old bass guitar player from Lexington, Kentucky. Despite his age, he plays with many large acts and churches in the area regularly. This includes Southland Christian Church and Immanuel Baptist Church, both in the top 100 fastest growing churches in America according to Outreach Magazine. Southland Christian Church is also the 31st largest church in the United States according to Outreach Magazine and is attended by over 10,000 people every weekend. Carson has opened for bands like Casey James (American Idol), Love & Theft (CMT Country Duo of the Year 2013), Dustin Lynch (CMT Music Awards Nominee), Andy Griggs (Two Time Grammy Nominated Artist), Ben Lacy, Mark Wills (Academy of Country Music Awards Winner), and Hunter Hayes (Grammy Nominated Artist). He has also done recording work for many artists, including Tony Anderson (whose music has been licensed by Ford, Nike, Canon, ESPN, Facebook, and many more) and tuba for the theme of Asbury University’s “Friends Like You” sitcom. In addition, Carson recently partnered with Tony Anderson on the original soundtrack for the upcoming film HOLY GHOST (Darren Wilson/Wanderlust Productions). Currently Carson is studying Media Communications with an emphasis on Audio Productions at Asbury University, where he receives a sizable jazz performance scholarship. While at Asbury, he is studying under such faculty as Barry Blair (founding member of Audio Adrenaline, produced Bleach, Rebecca St. James, Newsboys, etc.), Bob Bryant (performed with Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Alex Acuna, Ben Lacy, and others), and Dr. Glen Flanigan (member of the Lexington Brass Band, Music Educators National Conference, and International Tuba-Euphonium Association). In February of 2013, Carson ventured into the world of video. He has currently released 25 videos that have yielded over 100,000 views while increasing video quality regularly.
