Upright bassist Craig Green is a sophomore at the University of North Texas studying jazz and classical upright bass under Kate Jones, Lynn Seaton, and Jeff Bradetich. Before coming to UNT, he was a student at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. During his time in high school his teachers included Jonathan Fisher, Buddy Mohmed, and Phil McNeese. As a student in high school Craig gained experience performing in jazz combos around the metroplex, as well as in school ensembles.

Craig first experiences making music were in his church choir and elementary school band, however he didn't truly discover his passion for music making until his father bought him a guitar in middle school. Craig began playing the electric bass only a few months later after realizing bass players were in high demand. He soon was prepared to audition for his arts magnet high school, where he discovered and fell in love with the upright bass, which has inspired him ever since.

Craig Green also currently works for UNT's music library, helping to prepare the music folders for the jazz bands.
