    Teaching Credentials:
I served on the faculty at Mannes College of Music in NYC for 10 years. Masters from Mannes College, D.Ma. from SUNY Stony Brook
I give music lessons in our living room for most of my living, teaching double bass, electric bass, guitar in all styles (grew up playing jazz, majored in classical guitar at college), piano, trumpet and French Horn.

I arrange, and accompany on piano, for my wife, Bronwen Eastwood, in her position as drama teacher and producer/director at the Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood, NJ. I play double bass there occasionally as well.

For the Jewish High Holy Days, I have been director of choir, an a capella octet, since 1979, at Temple Sinai in Dresher, PA, near where I grew up.

I served on the faculty of the Mannes College of Music in NYC for 10 years in all three of its divisions: College, Extension, and Preparatory.

Since 2011, I have been volunteer arranger and band director for Ridgewood Jamboree, a big, annual, charity musical review put on by parents of Ridgewood High School students that raises about $100,000 of scholarship funds each year.

Since 2013, I take private double bass lessons from Jeremy McCoy, assistant principal at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC.

In addition to my musical activities, a near-crippling back injury in 1997 introduced me to the world of strength, and I am currently a Senior Instructor at StrongFirst, where I teach at instructor certification training several times a year. I also see private students of strength in our home on a limited basis.
