I am a bass player and admitted music nerd and still relatively new to the DFW area and I have an idea that I have been kicking around my head for a few years. I am trying to form a particular kind of band that needs skilled and reliable players of a certain kind of mentality. The foundation of the band will be a practice of the cover songs on the list I have linked here. The list is not comprehensive and I will include a Spotify link for several songs as well. As you will see, some of the list is obscure, but some of the covers are wildly popular, and all of them are very interesting. The one thing they have in common is that they were performed at least one time by the epic jam band Widespread Panic. They do not have to be performed in the style in which Panic played them at all. Once the band tightens up, I imagine that if everyone wants to original music would find its way in the mix. But, just to be clear, it is not a WSP tribute per se. I need some guys that will put in the time and be grown ups about it. It will be a labor of love and it will be more fun than easy.

From here I watch the world go by
Working in the moon-time bar and grill
The word from Earth - my time is up
But here upon the moon time stands still
    Got no telecommunications
Cables haven't gotten out this way
The man in the moon is a musician
That's the way we pass the lunar day
