Pros: Once tweeked, a really good sound can be produced.
Cons: Can distort if not controlled correctly.

Heres my review on the filter...

So, basics, it has 5 knobs - Input, Q/Peak, Up/Down, BP/LP and Output.

Input and Output pretty basic - the Q adjust sharpness/tone - Up/Down adjust wether is starts in the high frequencies and goes into the low frequencies or vice versa and the BP/LP > BP is like wah and LP is some treblely wah thing.

The great thing about these controls is that there all able to be changed by a knob, so that you can mix until you get the sound your looking for.

When I first got it, I thought it was a waste of money and had second thoughts, but after a while of adjusting and trying out loads of different things, I got the hang of it and can now use it no problem. Funny thing is, I tried a SYB-3 in a store today and some of the sounds that produced were a lot like the envelope filters many settings!

Anyway, this pedal is GREAT for slap or clean slow bass lines and you can adapt to make work as a kind of auto wah when playing.

I put this pedal in my loop, simply because I think it sounds best there. I found that when its in my chain, it can be incredibly sharp and you get all sorts of distorted unpleasantaries commin out your amp. If you dont have a loop, its not much of a problem because you can turn the input down and adjust the 'Q' to get a nicer sound.

Overall i think this filter is fantastic. I use it a lot of the time for slap bass riffs and it sounds awesome. Sometimes, I hardly find the need to use my wah at all and I just use the filter.

If your lookin to funk up ur bass lines or just add a vast range of dynamics to ur bass playing... Get it... It's awesome.
