supersize

Description: Three separate tones are reproduced by the OC-2—the original tone, a second tone one octave below the original, and a third tone two octaves below the original.

With just a single guitar, you can obtain sounds three octaves thick, and each part has a separate volume control. The OC-2 features natural, clear octave sounds with stable pitch even for staccato picking sounds.

Pros:
Cons:

Like all Boss pedals the build quality on these is fantastic.

I have had mine for several years, use it time and again and am always happy with the sound that it gives me.

Generally however the third tone two octaves below the original is a bit much however as you have the ability to blend this is easily rectified.

This has now been replaced with the OC-3 which contains the same features....and more!!

If you are looking for an Octaver I would definitely recommend getting one.

Pros: decent tone (on a guitar)
Cons: poor tracking (on both bass and guitar)

I never really liked this pedal on bass. I bought it for guitar and it was ok (but still usually glitchy and annoying). I wanted to use it to play a song with low D on bass and it could not handle it at all, so I sold the pedal. Strangely enough, I have the Roland Cube 30 Bass amp and the "Octave Bass" COSM mode works really well.
