Action is so precise, you MUST have sadowsky set it up.
Let's put it this way, every sad. Owner raves, never a single bad word is ever said about them,
It feels and sounds like CLASS.
The metro series is as luxurious as it gets.
The techs there set them up to the 100th of an inch, they measure, really. they will find humps in boards, uneven frets..and manicure it like crazy without u asking,my tech is Lisa, who's there for years and is spot on. a pro.
Every tech there does their own custom builds and are luthiers, if u go to sad. they give the best service, give setups gratis if the setup slips from weather etc..
the tone is j like, with a killer low end,a secret weapon, ease it up to destroy the competition..every engineer loves it,producers who ask for Fenders will accept it lovingly, trust me,they rtain value more than any brand i know, a $2100 bass selling used for $1850?. these are the real deal.
Buy one.
Buy one.
Buy one.
Mine is my number one tool as a bassist for many years.
Producers and engineers all comment, almost every session.
I love my Roscoe these days, but always have one of these in the stable, this is true, true luxury. best pre-cbs feeling neck ever, narrow and quick, frets are just so smooth and clean, boost only,so get the VTC to roll off highs, don't go without it,especially if u like warmer, darker tones. passive option is useful, but if u set her flat,it's passive,i ease up some bass, staying flat, mostly. The jaco/bridge tone isn't as burpy as a passive J,but it's there.this is a Jay bass, still..but very different,go to bass tasters.com to hear good clips, wear good headphones, the Sadowsky is one in many basses in their comparison, but it sounds the thickest, and best..to me.
I do like the Roscoe LG-3000 with the Aguilar/Bart/ash/cocobolo combination,it is slightly warmer, smoother, more active, less bright, less Jbass like,
but that's my sound,my main tone.
The Sadowsky preamp and pickups are in two of my main stage basses,still..and I have reservations in the near future to buy a black Sadowsky Will Lee Metro,my next bass.
The Sadowsky RS-4 in natural alder with the morado board is one of my best basses,ever..true class.
