Pros: Compact, well-built, excellent sound
Cons: Casters/cover not included

I purchased this cabinet from Direct Pro Audio about a week ago. Please let me begin this review by complimenting the folks at Direct Pro Audio for their excellent customer service and fast shipping! Kudos!

I bought the Yorkville XC115XC bass extention cabinet to use with my Yorkville XM200C bass amplifier. The XC115XC is built specifically to match the XM200C (they both have curved fronts) and the amp and cab look great together.

Previously, I had been using an SWR 1x15" extension cabinet with my XM200C. However, the SWR was very bright and didn't have enough defintion or bottom end for my taste. So, I decided to buy the XC115XC to see if using Yorkville's matched cab would make a difference.

And, oh, what a difference! Right after plugging in my XC115XC, I noticed that I was no longer just hearing the bass, I was feeling it, as well. The sound is big, round, and powerful, but remains clean and does not become muddy.

I love the fact that with this amp/cab combination, I can go from rock to slap/pop funk without changing a single setting on the amp. Just alter my playing style (use a pick, slap with my thumb, etc.) and the sound is exactly what it should be.

In short, this amp/cab combo is dead simple and sounds great.

I originally was worried that 200 watts wouldn't be enough in a band situation. Well, boy was I wrong! With a loud acoustic drummer and a guitar player running a Rivera through Marshall cabinets, I have no trouble whatsoever keeping up with them in the mix. In fact, I don't think I've ever had the amp over 4 on stage or in rehearsal.

While the XM200C is a great amp, pairing it with the XC115XC makes it truly inspiring to play. The sound becomes fatter and more defined at the same time. And, you gain headroom, becasue the addition of the second cab raises the wattage of the amplifier.

If you have an XM200C amp, do not delay in buying an XC115XC cabinet. It will turn your favorite amp into your most inspiring one!

Excellent! I bought the 210 combo some time back at a guitar center on a used steal for 185 bucks if I recall. It's a great freaking amp. I have an SVT-CL, and 810 that I leave at one of my regular gigs, and have been taking the yorkie combo everywhere else.

I was in cleveland GC tonight while out on business, and found this cab sitting in the back in the typical used amp pile. I actually forgot I bought this until I saw the pic of it on the front page for the review!! (need to get it out of my trunk).

My 210 combo yorkie is tolex or painted, and this has the rat fur. Other than that, they look to be identical. I picked this cab up for 99 bucks, and made them throw in a one spot daisy chain connetor

Should be a heck of a rig for the $284 I have in it!
