Description: Specifications:

Upper bout width: 20 1/8"
Lower bout width: 26 7/16"
Rib depth (incl top & back): 8 5/16"
Playing string length: 41 7/16"

The back, sides, and neck are made from beautifully flamed Big Leaf maple, the top is select spruce, and the fingerboard as well as other trim is made from ebony processed in Germany.

German-made tuning machines, a rich, dark varnish, and a padded cover complete the package for a professional looking instrument that is appropriate for high school and college students as well as working musicians needing a good bass at a great price.

The sound is something to brag about too, with more sound in the low register than good laminated basses, and a more sophisticated midrange sound, characteristic of a well-graduated spruce top. May be either gamba shaped or violin cornered.

Pros: Well made and setup, affordable, excellent sound quality
Cons:

This instrument sounded great out of the box, now 1 year old it has played in very well and continues to improve with time.
Performs well in both upper and lower registers

Pros: Incredible setup, terrific sound, excellent bargain
Cons:

Mine is about a year old, and it is everything I wanted in a bass. In price, it compares to decent laminate instruments, but I really like the sound a a carved bass. It is a great instrument.
