Pros: VERY portable, massive sound
Cons: NONE

I have been using the HEVOS 800D combined with the HEVOS Powerset enclosures (2x10+T) + (2x10) for over a year now in Texas (Houston area) and i have been very pleased so far with the results. One of the first things that is remarkable, the whole system is very portable and lightweight. You will NOT break your back carrying this setup in and out your vehicle. The second is the SOUND. Even with the small 10" speakers, this amp and enclosure system can EASILY handle the low B' on my 5-strings. There is enough headroom there. In a gig situation i typically have my preamp and both UcD400 power amps opened to 1/3. And still it is sometimes way too loud. With respect to the tone settings, i have NEVER touched these. The amp clearly gives a true representation of the output of my bass, any tone variation i manipulate on the bass itself. An other remarkable fact is that the amp never gets HOT! Even after playing hard for a couple of hours in a row. I think this is one of those purchases that will stay with me for a LONG time. Adding another HEVOS Midget set is still on my list.

In my rack i have the following items:
-Furman PL II series power surge protection (1U)
-Line 6 BassPod XTpro (2U)
-Samson wireless system (1U)
-Korg DTR2000 chromatic tuning system
-ART T8 8-channel Hum canceling/ground lift (1U)

The line 6 multi-effect is running through the effects loop (in the back of the 800D) with a "latch-on" footswitch to activate it; blending in accordingly. Tuner connected through a direct output from the amp

Construction of all components (amp and Powerset encloseres) is very solid. I do recommend to get the 800D including the secially made 1U flight case. It is SLIGHTLY larger then a 1U case, due to the fact that a thin slit is left over the amp to evacuate the little heat generated. I got the enclosures with their covers. The covers are very solid and capable to kake a bump

I am a very happy camper!
