This amp beats everyother one out there. I considered all of the \"Big Name\" Brands, but they didnt seem to have quality along with the perfect sound I was looking for. I came across Thunderfunk at my local guitar shop and was blown away! You can get some of the same sounds out of this amp that you have to pay big bucks for with other companies products. Dave Funk is a really cool guy not to mention. He is very personal with his customers and takes care of business. Checkout the site www.thunderfunk.com to learn more about it. It is an awesome amp.

This amp definitly lives up to it\'s reputation. It is absolutely a players head, super clean, warm but a very precise attack. I\'m able to basically nail my sound with almost no fiddlin with the controls. I\'m running this thing almost flat using timbre and enhance to get a nice warm but punchy sound. I\'m only running at 8ohms thru my Benz Genz combos 2 10\'s and it sounds great. I imagine once I start running at 4ohms through an Accugroove Tri210 this rig will smoke almost anything in town!!! Meets or exceeds all expectations.
P.S. my sound tech loves me now.

I've only had my new TB550 for a week now, but already, it has blown my socks off! I've previously owned Eden, Trace Elliot, SWR, Ampeg heads and this simply blows them all away. (I'm currently using Acme Low B cabs, ideal speakers for the TF, IMHO!) Despite being solid-state, the amp sound is warm, consistent and funky and the combination of the Enhance/Timbre/Bass/Treble knobs alone is nearly all you need for most situations. I love this amp!
Will post a complete TB550 review in another month or so when I've gigged more with it and have tried out the "switch" a bit more.
Cheers,
EG

I used my tfb- 550 head as backline at a Blues Festival in Davison, MI last Saturday. I played with John Sinclair, jeff grand from Uncle Cracker, Mark Adams (one of the top keyboard guys in New Orleans), who all played with my band, Stu and the Fabulous Windbreakers. Seven different bass Players used that amp that day and they all loved it. The tone was totally tight, bright, and wicked. Kerry Clark (former bass player from P-funk or one of those George Clinton bands) was smitten. I did not hear one negative thing about the amp. And it got some serious use. Wicked bottom end. Any doubts I may have had are eradicated, this thing is great! After playing it and watching several others do so during the course of the day, I have a very high opinion of mr. Funk's handiwork. This thing is the shiznit. And the Tube emulation is a great thing, almost like an SVT.
Do yourself a favor, take out the junk, get the funk.
