Pros: Great features, flawless construction. price, sound, playability...i could go on all day
Cons: a bit heavy, stock strings kinda suck.

this is the review from my thread:

"Alright, the D6 arrived yesterday, the first impression was that there's no way this bass is worth less than $500. neck-through body, grover keys, ESP pups and active pre-amp which sound very good (haven't tried it with my band yet, I'll update when i do), natural satin finish, beautiful woods and completely flawless construction.

the neck is super thin, and the string spacing is pretty tight, i don't have a number for you but it seems a little bit tighter than my peavey millennium BXP-5. The action out of the box was a bit high for my taste, but that's to be expected. it also came with an owners manual, a small poorly insulated cable, and the adjustment keys for the truss rod and bridge; something so simple and convenient that was overlooked by peavey with my millennium.

the hardware and electronics seem great so far, but i won't Know for sure until i use it with my band. the bass, mid, treble, and balance knobs all lock into place when they're in the flat position. i don't know if all active basses do this, but it's very helpful. this thing also puts out plenty of mids, and with the bridge favored it sounds like it will have no problem cutting through. something else i'm experiencing for the first time with this bass, and attributing it to the fact that it's active, is that it has alot more clarity when playing fast runs than any passive bass i've played.

i recall reading somewhere that ESP originally made replacement parts, so that probably explains why the stock electronics and hardware are so good.

it's a bit on the heavy side, but not nearly as heavy as i expected. AND i was very pleasantly surprised to find that it had no neck dive!

that's all i can think of ATM, but feel free to ask any questions. oh, and this thing looks 1000000X nicer in person."
