Pros:
|
Sounds good. Nice deep a punchy tone that is clear and produces good harmonics, and also a nice sounding overdrive when needed.

Cons:
|
no rear input and the tuner output is horrible.

Tonal Quality:
As far as the tone for this thing goes, it had a very deep bassy and punchy tone. The mids and highs were smooth sounded when set at about 9 O clock, but anything really about that was kind of brittle sounding to me. The overdrive tone was probably one of the best OD sounds I have heard from a bass unit. You can add as little or as much OD as you want.
The day before I ordered from GK, I called them to see if it had a rear input to daisy chain from my wireless without having to run a cable all the way to the front of my unit (which really urks me). They said it had a Chain in and out. I got it, where the hell was the CHAIN IN they were talking about? Kinda sounds like they don't know what the hell they are talking about over there. Also, the TUNER output is pretty much worthless. I had to wack my strings to get anything to show up on my Korg DTR2000. I plugged in my tuner to my Sansamp, and I barely had to pluck my strings to get my tuner to read the output.
All in all it is a good preamp, if not having a good tuner output and a rear input dosen't bother you like it does me.
