Carey and crew really did a wonderful job on this instrument. I didn't have the opportunity to try a Nordy before ordering this instrument, but that didn't matter. I am extremely happy with the purchase, and look forward to a lifetime of playing this bass. I had the opportunity to speak to Carey on the phone prior to ordering this bass, told him what sound I was looking for, and he gave me excellent advice which wound up (no pun intended) being a passive set of Big Singles. The sound is huge, the feel is fantastic, and I just wouldn't change a thing about this bass.
