Description: This product is a bass synthesizer effect pedal manufactured in a stompbox format.

The pedal itself has four knobs and two switches in addition to the main foot switch. It has solitary input and output jacks. It is powered by either a 9v battery or a DC 9v powersource and draws 22mA.

It is from the Ibanez "tonelok" series of effects pedals, meaning that once the user has created a specific sound, the setting is "lockable" by simply depressing the knobs into the body of the pedal and clicking them down into place.

The four knobs from left to right read from above front are:
Sensitivity, Filter Frequency, Filter Resonance and Level. As mentioned above, each knob can be set and then locked in place by depressing it into the body of the pedal.

The two switches from left to right are:
Mode, Decay

The Mode switch is a three-way switch allowing the user to select between Autowah, Synth1, and Synth2. The two-way Decay switch allows a choice between slow and fast decay.

The pedal itself is a silvery-grey colour with black text, is durably made out of cast aluminum with a plastic footswitch / battery cover and nonskid rubber footpad. The outer dimensions are approximately 2.25" x 3" x 5".

Pros: solid, controllable, easy to access all controls
Cons: only one 'tone' sounds artifical (unless thats what you want)

This was my first introduction to synth pedals,... I like the tone lok controls and I actually didn't mind that it was more of just a distortion + filter... very good for tracking,... can get annoying that there's only one real 'tone' you can just level it up or down and adjust sensitivity for the most part... really only use this with a long decay as a smash everything combined with another distortion to get a screaming decaying bomb drop on B / E strings... as far as synth goes there are a lot better but if you like the tone and don't want to venture too far into 'synth' sounds then a pretty good pedal
