Pros: Excellent tone and playability
Cons: None

Very nice bass. It shares the same body and headstock shapes as the lesser expensive RBX170. Looks a lot like that bass, except with two soapbar pickups and of course, the wider five string neck. The body and headstock face have a translucent blue finishappears to be ash, although it is made out of three pieces. Cleverly matched in front so the seams are not visible, but they are visible in the back of the body. No biggie about that however. Headstock is joined to the neck with a scarf joint, so it should be extra strong.

I like this bass almost as much as the higher priced TRB-5II bass which I also own, although the TRB has better looks, IMO, but that's about it. They have similar gold hardware, but the hardware on the TRB looks a little more deluxe, which is to be expected. Same easy access battery compartment on both. The pickups on this bass look identical to the ones on the TRB, but are passive on the RBX765A vs. the active on the TRB. Perhaps, and this is subjective, the passive version of this pickup sounds a little bit warmer.

The neck feels very nice and fast and adjusts easily with the truss rod. Good neck angle too. Free of fret buzz. I like the strings a little bit high to avoid most fret rattle, but it still plays like butter (to me) even with the higher action. The low B is good. Fit and finish is great. Overall, a very good bass.

I own a green version of this bass which i bought over 10 years ago now, I am looking to replace the pick ups for something of a bit better quality, do know where i can get some specifications on the pickups so I know what size to look for?
