Description: Providing total freedom, superior tone and refreshing simplicity, X2™ XDS95 is the ideal choice for guitarists seeking a compact and battery-powered digital wireless system. Low profile, X2 XDS95 fits in your gig bag to bring complete convenience to every gig, rehearsal and recording.

A breakthrough in wireless technology, X2 XDS95 boasts award-winning solutions that traditional analog wireless systems, not to mention traditional instrument cables, simply cannot deliver.

Featuring a range of 100 feet, the length of an entire basketball court, stompbox-sized X2 XDS95 produces a blazing signal, brilliant, uncompressed tone and the freedom to roam knowing you’ll receive consistent quality throughout. Interact with the crowd at the foot of the stage without any loss in sound quality or signal. Analog wireless systems, notorious for rolling off crucial high-end and low-end frequencies, force guitarists and bassists to sacrifice tone for wireless functionality. With X2 XDS95, that’s a thing of the past.

X2 XDS95 offers a wide frequency response of 10 Hz – 12 kHz for thunderous lows and crystal-clear highs rivaling those of high-quality audio cables. In the studio, with your rig cranked to 11 in the iso-booth, X2 XDS95 lets you play near the band to keep the all-important vibe that ensures a great take while providing you with amazing tone worthy of your next album.

Neutralizing issues that render traditional analog wireless systems useless, X2 XDS95 utilizes four antennae, mounted internally to protect against breakage, to shield your performance from static, jamming and dropouts caused by cell phones, wireless networks and other common sources of RF energy.

X2 XDS95 comes complete with X2 XDR1 digital receiver and X2 XDT1 digital transmitter, both constructed of polycarbonate housings impact-tested to 300 lbs., a locking instrument cable and all necessary accessories. Free of complicated setup, just fire it up and go.

Roam free of vibe-killing dropouts, free of tangled cables and free of compromise. That’s what making music is all about.

Pros: Clear sound, no tone loss, great battery life, extremely easy to use
Cons: None so far

Excellent wireless! I picked this up after reading some great reviews on a guitar forum I'm on and was immediately impressed.

It's completely plug and play, no adjustments required at all.

The simple display is easy to understand.

The indicators claim over 5 hours of battery life, and so far it seems pretty accurate for both. I've played around with it for a few hours rehearsal, and one half hour live set, the reciever's dropped to 4 hours battery life remaining, and the transmitter's still saying 5.

My tone sounds as good as ever, it literally sounds exactly like it did when playing wired, except with less noise/ground hum. And, being a digital wireless, there are no problems with interference.

Now the rest of my band wants to go wireless lol

Pros: Sturdy, neat, light
Cons: Anomalous signal dropout, adapter not included.

I work partly as crew alongside a band, and usually spend the most time alongside the bassist, who uses this unit.

Setting up this unit is very simple. Never any surprises (as yet), and everything lights up as it should. The receiver also does not take up much space at all.

Regarding fastening, this bass player definitely does his share of moving, and yet there's never any tape required. The thin steel bracketing is very sufficient and does not shift up or down the strap. The input connections are also very solid

Once in a while, we'd play a stage where at certain points the signal drops out entirely and the bass goes silent momentarily then comes back in. At this point we look at each other and I usually instruct him to walk a bigger circle so we can see where it is happening. It generally happens if he goes further to the other side (guitarist side) and not when close-by. These are very odd (but very present) occurrences especially since there is no consistency to the environments when it does happen.

Battery life is about what you'd expect, or maybe just what i'd expect.... from a current unit like this. You might bust out a brand new battery, play a show, do a 2 hour soundcheck, go play the show, then at the next day's 1 hour soundcheck you might see it go from 5 to 4. Fine. At this point you want to be wary at the next day's gig, because suddenly you may see it drop to 3 when you didn't expect it to. Good practice is have a high turnover of battery, resulting in a million SQUILLION extra batteries in the bass case all between half and three-quarter life.

I give this unit a 9 for practical usage most of the time, but at times you may find yourself rating it a little lower. All in all, a very good unit, with little blinking lights. Be wary of the battery life, and you're good to go. Also invest in one or two extra adapters just in case.

Pros: I have nothing but good things to say about this unit.
Cons: The clip on the transmitter isn't great. Mine is useless. I put the transmitter in my back pocket and it works great.

I have the rack mount version. My tone is actually better with this (no hum). It has made the guys in the band jealous. It was completely plug and play. I have owned several other brands, all more expensive. This blows them away in the tone department.
