Pros:
great tone, top notch workmanship
Cons:
none
This bass is awesome. The tone is exactly what i asked and paid for. i needed a bolt-on, light weight bass for slap and Scott delivered. The pickups and preamp provide a nice slap and funky growly fingerstyle tone. The bridge pickup is just killer for fingerstyle. I wish i had opted for a passive/active switch.
The workmanship on this bass is impeccable. no flaws found whatsoever. You can tell by the detail on this bass that Scott really enjoys working with wood. The wood is just beautiful. The action is set low without any fret buzz, the frets were dressed properly and intonation was perfect.
Scott has very good customer service, he was willing to configure one of his designs to fit my taste . He is easy to contact and never too busy to listen to your ideas or concerns.
I have been playing bass for 27 years and have owned a number of basses, some high-end. I have had this bass for almost a month and i am very pleased with its performance. I would definitely recommend his basses to anyone looking for a completely custom bass.
