doesnt sound like 1000 watts

I cant complain about this amp too much based on how cheap it is. At 1st i liked the look of this amp as i love simplicity. however, Hartke amps normally are that loud they rip your face off. this one only just cuts it in the volume department. i also have a ha7000 and a ha3500, both of which are a lot louder.
the amp sounds ok but sounds like 200-350 watts rather then 1000 watts. but the price tag fits the bill for a 200 watt amp so i spose u get what u pay for

I am running this amp through a Mesa Powerhouse 212 cab, using an additional Powerhouse 115 when needed (usually outdoor gigs). Played with a 3 band Stingray and an Am. P-bass, Am. Jazz. This amp is extremely loud. Deafening through my Mesa 212 in bridged mode. Very clean sound. I just love the simple EQ and can dial in slight changes so much easier and faster. The EQ, although simple, is very sensitive and responds well to minor tweaks. I have found that I don't miss a multi band EQ at all (which was always in the back of my mind when I bought this head). The other great feature is being able to adjust the power/balance to each cab through a knob on the front panel. This is an awesome functional feature and really adds to the flexibility of the amp when using two cabs.
I'm extremely satisfied with the LM1000 and have been using it as my regular rig for the past year. It's affordable, reliable (nearly a year of steady use now without a hitch) and retains a clean sound up to oblivion.

Pros:

Great tone for funk, nice and simple controls, solid build, massive power
|
|
Cons:

a shame there's none of the nice Hartke compression, bloody heavy
|

I love this amp. It's rugged and powerful enough for any cabs I'll ever own. The basic controls are just brilliant (apart from lack of compression). You might think they would be too simple and unusable but that tone stack EQ is soooooo good. Would recommend to anyone who wants clean tone but not to anyone with back problems

I bought my Hartke LH1000 in Oct 2011 and 3 months later its toast. Might ve just got a bad one so I hate to be negative, but for 600.00 hard earned dollars I m very disappointed. I ve been a Hartke user and fan for many years. First thing I noticed about it was,it doesn t sound as loud as my old 5000 amp (250 X2) even at 4 ohms loads. Second problem for me was,the sound is kind of "mushy" for lack of better term.Just not the punchy sound I had with all transistor. Maybe thats just my preference. Third problem is after 3 months I turned it on at a gig and extremely loud hissing came through speakers (with nothing plugged into amp and volume all the way down). Can t use the amp now and its out of 45 day return policy to American Musical supply. I ll be sending to hartke. I m sure they ll take care of me,they are a good company. If anyone else has had these problems,I d like to hear them. Can t figure out why the "night n day" difference between the old amp and new is.
