I have owned 2 Music Man Stingray 5 strings as well as over 70 other basses. The first Stingray had fret shrapnel coming out the sides of the neck so I got what I thought was a good deal from Guitar Center on a new Stingray HH 5 string. The action was a bit high when I bought it and I just thought I could do a set up and Have a killer bass-wrong. The neck is squirrly. I sometimes get horrendous fret buzz on the 1st 4 frets. I have had to raise the string action even higher. I am not happy with Ernie Ball eiether. Leo Fender designed this incredible bass and mine sucks. I have played a students Squire with a better fret jobs than my $2900 list fancy ass bass. Thier necks may have a nice wheel to adjust them, but I am a very unhappy camper. I paid alot of $ to buy this. The next bass I buy will definitely have a Plek processed neck.
