Lightweight, looks and sounds good

Cons:

not sure, no other 12" cabs to compare to

So far I like this cab. I was looking for beefier, thicker sound then what I had been getting with the Hartke 410 that I traded it for. The 112 works nicely in it's role. I have flats on my P and J, and I also use a Trace Elliot 1518C which is a single 15" cab with no tweeter or horn. Amp is an Ampeg SVT III Pro. Within this rig, the 112 does a nice job. Gets as loud as I need it to.
I play Motown, R&B, 60's soul, 70's funk and disco, and blues and rock, and jazz. Some newer pop. No metal or hard edge stuff. For the sound I am looking for, it does a nice job. it is not bright like the 410 or like my 210, but it makes it's presence known. I wish it was a little more beefy so I could use it more as a stand-alone, but it does fine on it's own for jazz gigs. And asking any 12" cab to act as a stand-alone in an 8 piece wedding band is probably expecting too much anyway.
For those curious about a price I paid, I traded it straight up for my 20 year old Hartke 410XL

I really like this cabinet and am searching high and low for another. It's an older model cabinet. It's light and manageable. I don't like the handle on top as it is in the way when placing an amp on top of the cab. Wasn't an issue using the Markbass in it's gig bag but I'll have to place a towel on top when I use the Genz Benz amp. Could use a little bit more highs but that can be eq'd in. Ran it through it's paces at rehearsal with a Markbass LMIII and my Lakland JO5. Honestly, I think the Markbass is too much for this cab. I think it'll shine with a much more subtle amp. Will try it with a Genz Benz Shuttle 6 which I think will be a better match. The cab handles a low B very well but I did hear the speaker flapping on the low E played on the B string. I had to eq the bass down some. Gonna try it with some other basses as well.
Overall, I really like this cabinet and I'm looking to get rid of some brand new GK Neo 112's because like this cab better.
