This tuner should be part of any reasonable 19" rack, unless you want to have your tuner (display) in front of you on stage. The display of DTR2000 is very good lit and you can even turn on a light that makes you see rest of your 19" rack - good when you have to tweak on your pedals during a gig and the stage is dark. I use this tuner with all of my basses and the tracking is excellent all the way down to my low B string. The pitch display stays stable and does not jump around like crazy during tuning. It also immediately tracks the changes of strings. A quick check of your tuning does not take any longer than 1 second per string. There are multiple modes you can use but I simply use the chromatic mode.
Occasionally, I use drop tunings which are easily dialed in on the tuner, but 99% of the time I just simply run it in plain chromatic mode. It has multiple inputs so you can connect two instruments to the tuner and then - using the one footswitch - engage the tuning mode or let it bypass, and - using another footswitch - toggle between the instruments. So it also gives you a 2@1 switcher which I think is great. However, I generally want to keep tuners and other supportive effects out of my live sound chain so I have the DTR2000 connected to the tuner out of my pedal instrument switcher.
I highly recommend this tuner to anyone who has a 19" rack and wants a tuner with great tracking, great display reading in live situations and enhanced connectivity features that allow you to hook up the tuner in many different scenarios into your setup.
