Description: Hi there, brought this in a 2U rackmount version (the only one in the country) last Weds, pluged it into my Mesa 4 x 10 PowerHouse cab when I got home and could not believe what this amp sounds like. I have just sold my Mesa 400+ which is a great head, but the M9 really does beat it!
You can get all the sounds like the 400+ but loads more a well, it is about 40kg lighter, runs with a single 12AX7, and no more tube issues!
Gigged with it last Saturday 700-800 crowd and a large stage, although all our gigs go through a front of house system sometimes more often than not the 400+ got a little lost with no punch, the M9 has non of these issues at all. 900w @ 2/4 ohm and 450w @ 8ohm. This amp really does kick! All I did with the settings for Saturday as I had no time to really try anything else was to set it to 'straight up and go' as it was listed in the manual (no compressor or graphic EQ although these are built into the amp) and off we went and it was the best sound I have had, my old Jazz bass sounded like a Jazz bass if you know what I mean!
Check this amp out as it is going to be an industry standard very soon.
