Pros: Lightweight, tone, tone shaping, 2 channel, output options, quality XLR out
Cons: none

I've been waiting for an amp like this for a LONG time. I like my tone to be rather flat but with a bump in the low end and maybe a bit of sparkle in the highs. Of course this amp is capable of getting that tone along with virtually every other tone imaginable. I played a Ampeg SVT for YEARS and was ok with that tone, but after hearing the Shuttle Max 12.0, I knew I had been missing out on something. I actually ended up selling my SVT to get the SM12.0 and have no regrets. This thing sounds incredible, I mainly use the tube channel but the FET channel sounds good too, just a little more clean than i'm used to. Everything is clear, every note and nuance of playing is expressed, it definitely keeps me more honest than the SVT which is probably a good thing. I've let some friends use it for shows around town so I could hear what it sounds like from the XLR out and it sounds great too. There's a thread on here somewhere comparing the shuttle series XLR output to a countryman 85 DI and the results are almost identical. There are so many options on this thing, I could gush for hours on how in love I am with it. It just makes life easier and sounds great while doing it. If you're a jazz bass fan like myself, you'll love how much growl this thing has. GB really knocked one out of the park with this one, it's got classic iconic bass amp written all over it.
