Pros:
Very defined with lots of depth.
Cons:
Not a faithful vintage J tone, might be too non-traditional for some.
Put these in a Geddy Jazz. More output than stock, but not a loud as I expected (huge poles look loud). Modern sounding for sure but definitely still in the jazz bass realm. Extremely defined tone without the razor sharp highs found in EMGs making them punchy but not overly articulate. Full mids and tight lows slice through my guitarists Mesa rig with ease. I've never heard a J set quite like these. I dig 'em and recommend them for rock and metal applications.
