Pros: Liquid tone, versatile, smooth analog sound (no digital artifacts)
Cons: Footswitch pops when engaged, very slight hiss

After much frustration trying out ice cold digital emulations (both software and hardware), the DLS Chorus~Vib has been a great experience. The sound of the chorus is unmistakably not digital, it has a smooth and very musical character.

The controls and multiple output jacks allow for a very customized sound. For example, a combination of a moderate chorus depth and slow rate gives a classic chorus sound, a fast rate and low chorus depth gives a vibrato much like a Leslie speaker, and a slow depth and rate gives a very subtle flanging effect. The ability to control the mix of dry and chorus signal allows you to choose whether you really want that early 1980's super chorused bass sound or a more subtle effect. The pedal is true bypass, but I almost never turn mine off anymore, just a hair of this chorus gives a lot of depth to the sound.

The combination of Leslie effects and smooth chorusing make this pedal ideal for psychedelic rock, fretless of any type, or even for leads.
