Pros: Sound, Neck, Color, Versatility
Cons: Weight, back of the neck

Alright so I headed into my local GC, always just to look around, I heard good reviews of the squier classic series basses, but I was looking around and saw this on one of the guitar racks out in the front. It caught my eye, because I do like the VM fretless bass, but I don't like the fact that it is fretless, don't get me wrong I love playing them, but for a heavier rock band, it does not get me very excited! So at first I thought it was the VM, as I got close I saw the switch, and then the battery compartment on the back, I picked it up, it was pretty heavy for a jazz bass. Plugged it into a fender 2x10 combo amp, eh not really my style, I play an all ampeg rig, with a sansamp. I set all the controls to flat so I could just maintain the sound of the bass. WOW! this thing sounded really good, really full tones, I did not even think it was a squier! Bought it on the spot, brought it home, and played it the very next night at a gig. Trust me when I say I got an ear-full because I was playing this squier over my $1800 warwick doublebuck bass. It sounded great! It really did a good job of cutting through the mix! So afterward the sound guy came up to me and said, "hey, that was the most cleanest, most crisp sounding bass In have ever heard" he asked what I played, I told him, he was very surprised! I mean most of it is the sansamp, which is the best piece of gear I have ever bought, but the bass sounded awesome. If you are looking for a great backup bass, get it! If you are looking for something that is as light as a fender musicmaster, then don't get it! But it sounded phenominal!

Pros: Great Tone, feel for great price
Cons: Only comes in 2 colors

I picked up one of these basses almost a year ago and i love it. This is my main bass for playing out. Mine is the all black one and i will be getting a second in the sunburst.
