Description:

Our advanced coil design employs carbon steel blades, special ferrite magnets and full shielding. Its full bass and tight lowmids blend fine with very articulate midrange into sparkling harmonic overtones.

I bought these pickup to replace my Warwick's MEC pickup.
After switching the pups, there was an improvement. It retains all of the MEC clarity but sounded warmer.
But when i switched to passive, WOW!!! so much better. I found out that the preamp was scooping out some mids. Not too bad but so much better. It was finally full sounding. I'm not used to hear warmth and clarity at the same time but the Delano's deliver!
If you push them a little you obtain an amazing GROWL!!!

Put these in my corvette standard along with a Delano sonar 2 preamp. Sounds perfect. All ranges of sound cut through without overpowering each other. Wish the waricks would come with these. I have a corvette standard and a double buck. Both are terrific instruments, but the MECs that came on them are garbage. Hell, anything but Delano sounds disappointing to me now, I'm spoiled.
