I bought this cab about 6 weeks ago. That same night I had a gig and used it for the firts time. I blew the band away with the sheer clarity of the sound. It has a rich, warm but very clear sound.
Its the best 15" i've ever had

I bought this to pair with my Aguilar GS112 mainly, or to use with my EV TL115- so I'd have a 2x15" rig!
Sounds big, lush, rich & deep by itself & if I didn't have a GS112 already I'd be happy simply w/ the GS115. The tweeter(with it's control pot) is able to add a nice modern sizzle & snap if U want a slap & pop style sound! As this is quite a large 1x15" cab it has a LARGE & deep sound-LOVELY!!!!!
Paired with the GS112 it's a match made in heaven. very clear, punchy & full sound!!
I use it mainly with my Elec. uprite bass in my jazz/blues band, usually powered by my Mark bass LMII. Sounds GREAT powered by this amp.
I have however used it with my Ampeg all tube amps-A V4BH(100w) & an SVT2(300w). The GS115 gives a righteous bottom end with these amps.
Basically it sounds great with any of the amps I mention above-using Uprite bass or my 5 string stingray or Fender Jazz. Probably the Best 1x15": cab I've ever owned.
EDIT: well I've had this cab for nearly a year now & my views on it haven't changed!!! A superb, rich sounding 1x15" cab. As the next review states- the tweeter seems to blend nicely... & this it does, but I USUALLY run it at about 1/4 on(9 o'clock), & this adds enough snap for the funky stuff with my Jazz bass & eoungh string noise for the uprite bass. When I DO want an 'old school' tone, I simply turn the tweeter dial off totally & she's a old sch. 1x15" again!!
I often use this cab by itself at gigs with the V4BH Ampeg all tube amp-for that ol' B15 style-all tube & a 1x15", works a treat. O also use it by itself at rehearsals where, the GS112 isn't enough-close but no cigar!!- & the GS115 handle it EASILY-amazing how a 1x15" cab will handle & push SO much air & sound! STILL-a great cab!

Cons:

seems a little weak in the low mids department, lacked much character (well suited for higher end basses and amps)

I have used this cabinet solo and with others (most notably a GS210), and it has shined in all instances. I am still somewhat new to the bass amp game having been a guitar player for so long, but I was really surprised by how self sufficient this one cab is alone. I didn't perceive much in the way of "humps" in terms of the frequency response across my hearing range. I could care less about a tweeter in a bass cab (I don't really slap and don't look to boost frequencies much above 3-4 khz), but this one sounds pretty fluid mixed with the driver, not too much sizzle.
It is built tough. The casters are decent and easily removed. The side handles are wide enough and deep enough for nearly all human paws. It's compact and light enough for a single person carry up or down stairs. Speakon and 1/4" outputs allows for many options when it comes to mixing and matching amps and cabs. Price seems about right for what it is, though I believe it is discontinued.
The only gripes I had were minimal. The low mids for one seemed to be lacking. This may have been from using with middle of the road head and short scale bass. Also, that amp lacked a definite character, though this would be desirable for me if I had a more robust, well tuned bass and amp.
All in all, I think this is a cab that would really please most people. The sort of cab you could use for rehearsal, recording, small to mid sized gigs, and paired with another cab for the bigger rooms.
