Pros: Punchy, growly focused, loud, 8x10 sound but more portable
Cons: Not for those who want super hi-fi bass tone

As far as I\'m concerned, this sealed and tweeterless cabinet gives the old-school Ampeg 8x10 thrill, but is louder, lighter, less bulky, and has better frequency response. If you must have the super-bright \"ping\" of a tweeter, look elsewhere. Me, I really like the rich sound of treble coming from a speaker rather than a tweeter. And here\'s a note to those who like *really* gnarly tones: the buzzy harshness of overdrive and distortion does not come through the NV610 as it does through tweetered cabs.

The advantage to sealed design cabinets is their punch and focus. If you A/B the NV610 against a modern tweetered and ported cabinet, you might be disappointed. But when used at a gig, you just might be blown away with how well your bass will sit in the mix. Don\'t be fooled: the lows are very strong. I play five-string through mine and it sounds fantastic even down low on the B string.

This cabinet is surprisingly light for its size, and the tilt-back design makes it relatively easy to move around.

Again: the NV610 is not for everyone, but if you can live without a tweeter you owe it to yourself to try one.

Pros: Tone, tone, tone; easy to move for the size; loads of clarity; no tweeter
Cons: Only comes in black

This is one of the best cabinets I\'ve ever played through. It will handle a low B with no problem and punches through a live mix like nobody\'s business. The casters make it easy to wheel around and at less than 100lbs, loading/unloading isn\'t horrible to deal with. My only gripe is that it\'s a much bigger cab than I like, but it sounds so good that I bought it anyway.

Note: The price I posted was used.

Pros: weight, size-sound, punch, everthing!!!!
Cons: apart from not having skid rails built in as standard-None

6x10" 750w 4 ohm sealed cab! Sounds SUPERB w/ tube amps! So much punch, depth & CLARITY! Never B4 has the whole band/s I'm in said thaty've been able to clearly hear all my basslines-this in an 8 piece soul/funk band w/ horns, 5 vocals etc..(lotsa noise onstage)
Superb cab-best I've ever had in 30+yrs of gigging!!!
I added skid rails to the rear & now it's SO easy to move I rarely have to actually lift it-just tilt & slide!
Superb!

Pros: Awesome Tube sound
Cons: None

Got this baby at Bassemporium.
What a great cabinet it has all the low end you can throw at it and has an incredible punch.
I used to play my Trace Elliot into it and it sounded great.
When I got my D-180 it seemed to open up a little bit.. you can hear the tube compression and all thump.
Playing through my SVT-2PRO it sound even better.
I was able to A/B alot of cabs to compare this to and NONE came remotely close to the projection and clarity this cabinet has.
I like that it doesn't have a tweeter and it provides a natural vintage vibe that isn't at all hard to dial in.
The cabinet is actually easy to move around and is pretty light compaired to simular 6 X10 cabinets.
I will go to my grave with a deathgrip on this cabinet, it is everything I wanted, and needed in a bass cabinet.
IF you have the fortunate chance to play or listen to this cabinet you will ADORE it, I cannot express how well made and how great it sounds.

Pros: Punchy, great sounding cab. Not too heavy
Cons: Not much really.

I love my Berg NV610. I run it with an SVT-CL and love the punchy tone. I have a mix of basses (Stingray, Thumb, Ric4001, P and J basses) and all of them sound great through this beast.

My previous rig had a tweeter and ports so I was initially worried about the sealed design with no tweeter, but there is plenty of low end and the highs are crisp and clear.

The cab itself has excellent build quality and being a 6x10 makes it easier to transport than the 8x10s I was originally thinking of going for. The built in wheels and sturdy tilt handle are a nice touch.

Mine is the tolex version as opposed to the rat fur model I have seen from time to time. It would have been nice to have some rails on the back to protect it, but it is no real biggie. The lack of rails is my only minor gripe with this cab.

Pros: This is the sound that I hear in my head
Cons: None, its the perfect cab

Winner, plane and simple. I have owned well over a dozen "professional" cabs and the Bergantino NV610 is a full head above the rest. I purchased this new from Bass San Diego with the Berg cover and pair it with a Mesa Boogie Fathom (m6 carbine). This setup will demolish small villages and produces the sound I have been hearing in my head and wanting to hear out of my gear for years. This cab is more than warm and punchy. It will give you the big bottom end without getting loose and truly lets my bass sing.

Compared to my old Ampeg HLF 610, SWR, Carvin or Aguilar rig (granted it wasn't as big), the NV610 will be in my arsenal for many years to come. Thank you Jim for building such a great product.
