Pros: Awesome Electronics, Great Tone, Well Balanced and Piezo Bridge is a Must Have!
Cons: No Ernie Ball Bass Case for the BONGO yet!

After first seeing the BONGO 5 String on the internet I knew that I had to play one.
After playing the BONGO 5 String with the optional Piezo Bridge I knew that I had to buy one!
This bass is a POWER BASS!
The built in preamps and active electronics with the dual humbucker and piezo pickups make this a bass to be well appreciated as the tonal combinations are endless. If you want the Stingray or Sterling tone, no problem this bass will give it all to you and then some. The piezo bridge is a MUST HAVE! Your harmonics and finger tapping come out clean and strong. If you want an accustic tone you got it. And if you want POWER?
This MONSTER will take a passive amp or weak PA system and make them Scream for Mercy!

The overall design is futuristic and right for the times, the balance of the bass is perfect and it rests perfectly when you are strapped in.
Bass players will appreciate the BONGO because of its ease of playability, light weight and balance.
Audiences with appreciate it\'s appearance and overall quality of sound and tonal variations.
I have played this bass for 8 months now both in the studio and on stage and it sounds great in both applications.

The only thing that I don\'t understand is why ERNIE BALL has not built and offered a great bass case for this Great Bass!
It seems that the BONGO is just a bit too long for the standard Stingray or Sterling bass cases and I contacted Scott Ball at ERNIE BALL and he advised me that they still do not offer a case for the BONGO, however there are some aftermarket bass cases available from G&G, Gator, and TKL.
Scott also thanked me for playing the BONGO.
Because the bass lacks a good quality case I have to give it a 9 out of 10 score which is not really fair to the bass itself because it is by far the best bass for the money that I have ever played.
I have played for 27 years now and have several custom made and factory built basses with active electronics and the BONGO bass beats them hands down. I highly recommend the BONGO to bassists who want it all and still want to stay within budget.
Thats it for my review.
KEEP IT DEEP!
RADIOMAN1 Out!

Pros: piezo! and... it looks like no other, and feels like and EB bass
Cons: ummm.

man i will tell you, i\'m not much for the looks(at first) but it is one of the best feeling basses i have picked up. the amp i was trying it out on sucked but i just love the feel of EB basses, BUT in this case the tone was as good if not better then the feel! I sugggest you at the least you pick one up and slap a few lines. If you dont like it... so what at least you didnt buy it yet. But if you did like it, GET IT.

Pros: idunno
Cons: umm

thats not really how much the bass cost but it should average the price out since the bozo before said it cost $14 instead of $1400. i havent played this bass but have heard alot of good reviews and i am looking into buying it.

Pros: Versatility, tone, playing comfort
Cons: None found so far

I should first mention that this is the price in Istanbul, inclusive of local taxes, customs, shipping etc. and also includes a Musicman hardcase that fits it perfectly well despite the Stingray-shaped padding. That said, I still think that this bass is a bargain. I have never had so many great sounds to choose from. Unlike almost everyone else, I wanted a BONGO because of its unFenderlike looks, not in spite of them, and when I saw the HHP5 configuration I put my order in immediately. With 3 pickups and a 4-band EQ, the only limit is your imagination and the only downside is the PA speaker-worrying rumble if you get too enthusiastic with the bass tone control. The piezo adds bite and sharpness to any setting, and also sounds good solo\'d. I cannot recommend this bass highly enough. Stop reading this, and go try one today.
