Pros: solid fit and finish, excellent fretwork, great tonal pallete
Cons: none so far

This instrument is totally acceptable! I have been playing since 1966 and have owned way too many basses. This bass is as good as any 5 String that I have owned and is better in some respects. All of the extended range basses I had previously have been from \"high end\" manufacturers(Alembic,Conklin,Tobias,Musicman,Warw ick, Zon, Modulus). I always keep my old PBass in the mix and I can not speak to all SX instruments, only this one. The fit, finish, fretwork and tone of this instrument is just plain solid! I can not fault the bass in any respect. She is fun to play and has a very workable range of tone(my band is blues,R&B and Funk oriented). If you can latch on to one like this...GO FOR IT!

Pros: cHeap and works fine
Cons: white pickguard

But it sounds killer, play well, looks great. Just the bass to put "the great levelers" (Rotosound Steel Roundwounds) on! It was sort of a sacrificial bass, and it's working great in spite of such abuse as playing B-52 songs on it and using it in porn photoshoots. It came with D'Addario Nickel roundwounds, which are fine, but not for me. I contemplated putting Thomastiks on it , but the Rotosounds have the advantage of being cheaper than the bass. The only thing is the white pickguard, which is just plain fugly. So I covered it with s
