Description:

Elites are the choice of many professional players. The Stadium Series are stainless steel wound to give a good response in the treble and bass frequencies.
Available in a range of gauges, with sets for five and six string players, including a Nathan East Signature set.

Pros:
great tone, great look (shiny), great life
Cons:
The feel can be a bit rough but it can be broken in

These are great strings for all types of players. I happen to like strings that are more low key and for the bassists who like different strings here is where its at. It is a risky business to string hop and not go popular brand but once in a while you come across a gem like these.

These are my favorite strings for 4-string basses. They have a TON of punch, yet a very bright and airy top end. They are also smoother than your typical stainless steel roundwound.
Unfortunately, they are hard to find. I bought 2 sets at Mars Music in Dallas, way back when and fell in love with them. A couple years later, I found 2 sets at Sound Control Music in Glasgow, Scotland. 1 of the sets was the 4-string set, and the other was a 5-string set. For whatever reason, the B-string just didn't have the same spank as the EADG, so I pitched it and used the others on my 4-string basses.
In summary; if you like a bright, punchy tone and find these strings. BUY THEM (then sell them to me).

Pros:

Bright sounding, long lasting, readily availible (uk) and price (uk)
Cons:

Are a bit rough feeling, feels like your playing with sandpaper.
Really cheap strings, and really good value for money, they last for ages and have a nice bright sound. The only downfall is they arent anywhere near as smooth as some sttrings out there.

Finding XL E strings
Like most players I have used a varitey of different strings over the years.
I was introduced to these a few years ago by Steve Lawson and have been using the 45-105 ever since.
The only problem I found was when they changed the length of the thread on the Estring which meant you ended up with thread on the 1st fret.
They seem to have fixed that problem now and I would highly recommend them!!

Pros:

Consistent string to string tonal balance, last well, nice tension, good price!
Cons:
In 15 years of playing these....none.
Never a problem, every new set has been consistent, no dud's, I find the tensions really nice, even on the heavier gauges, they last quite well, bright, punchy sounding strings I use on fretted and fretless with no problems for a good fair price, love 'em.
