Excellent bass. One of the best 4 strings under a 1000 dollars

Cons:

Only thing I found wrong was the action was set too low when bought.... no biggy

I bought this bass on March 16th 2004 at Guitar Center. They were having a GreenTag sale on items and this was one of the items they had listed for sale. I went down to check this out. I was blown away by the quality, the feel and the sound of the bass. I couldn\'t pass it up. I had been playing this bass on my guitar combo amp because I did not have my Bass amp delivered to me yet. I just recieved my Amp Rig March 23th and everything sounds amazing. I am very pleased with the Spector bass. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a top quality bass without a quality bass price.

After playing a zillion basses in all the local stores, this one really called out to me. The playability and great range of tones possible with the active EQ rival most of the $1-2,000 basses I\'ve played. Normally going for $499-549, I managed to find this on close out at Guitar Center. The new Spector Legend series is reportedly replacing this model.
This bass, manufactured in Korea, is built well. The neck pocket fits tight to the neck, the frets are nice and level, the finish is well done and really nice looking with a quilted maple top. I looked hard and couldn\'t find any build problems.
I was prepared to pay a lot more, but this bass is now my main axe. Who woulda\' thought that possible from a \"budget\" priced bass?

Pros:

Great Bass for the Money
|
|
Cons:

Bad Paint Job
|
|
I had the Painted Version of this Bass, not the Quilted. Still a nice playing & Sounding Bass. Only Problem I had was the paint started to Bubble up and Come off, sent it back to Spector (my cost) and they repainted it. Got it at Guitar Center in 2000 for $199 on Sale.

Great playability and versatile sound

Input jack will eventually need to be changed...no biggie there.

Bought this used on TB. Always wanted a Spector but not ready to shell out the big bucks for a US made. This is a great alternative. Maple top, EMG HZ pickups and an extremely fast neck and comfortable body make this one sweet bass. Feels and sounds like it costs 1000 or more but you can pick one up used for under 300. Incredible value for money in my opinion.
