Aug 13, 2008 - 12:22 PM - by TalkBass
Chicago, IL August, 2008. Eden Electronics is pleased to introduce the new David Series Neo bass cabinets. Designed with the fine craftsmanship and quality that Eden is known for, this new series took over five years to develop. These Neos are superior to others in that they have a longer lifespan without extra weight. Some of the unique attributes of the cabinets include their light weight, durability, and increased cooling efficiency.

The David Series Neos are constructed with AA furniture grade plywood. The Dado and Rabbet construction gives the cabinets extra durability. As a result, they are able to withstand even the harshest touring conditions. The enclosures are all designed to reproduce the true sound of your bass with the proper character and clarity. The new cabinets are equipped with a Neo driver to flawlessly reproduce the sound of our standard driver. The porting is optimized for high level performance and the boxes are tuned to maximize sound quality and performance.

The series includes 3 models: D410XST, D210XST, and D112XLT which are tailored to fit the needs of all levels of performers. Because of our unique design, we are able to use our standard enclosures while maintaining the balanced and clear tone of our signature cabinets.

Velvet Strings Announces "Velvet Blue"
May 14, 2008 - 7:23 AM - by TalkBass
Velvet Strings, the Swiss Double Bass strings maker is proud to present their newest string, Velvet Blue. The Blue is the first Velvet string that doesn’t have a silk core, instead having a synthetic core that took almost 2 years to develop. "We wanted to make a more affordable string that still sounds like a Velvet, following the philosophy of the other Velvet strings: great articulation, big volume and sustain and equal tension on all 4 strings. The Blue has it all, it’s a bit brighter than the silk cousins, but offers a fast response with a great articulation and nice volume. This is a string with a student price but with a professional sound."

"After 15 years of the company existence, we are proud to offer a Velvet String with a great sound at a mainstream price, entering into a market, where price calculation is an issue."
