Like the title says, I have 1/2 a day to kill in the Pontiac Michigan area. Other than Motor City Guitars, are there any good music stores my TB brethren can recommend??? :bassist:
    Thanks Guys!

Well Motor City Guitars is in Waterford, a little drive from Pontiac. There is a GC on Northwestern Hwy in Southfield, not far from Pontiac. Music Castle is on Woodward I believe near 14 mile but not exactly sure. Can't really think of any other guitar stores. Just out of curiosity, why are you going to Pontiac. Not really the best area of Metro Detroit.

There are a couple pawn shops on M59 (Huron St) just west of Woodward.

Cool, we're staying on Woodward just south of M59!

Those pawn shops usually have junk instruments. The one with the drums in the front is the worse of the two. Just play around at MCG. I bet you couldn't get through half their pedals in 5 hours.

Thanks for the heads-up. I don't get 'downstate' much and have been to MCG. That's the only reason I was looking for other possibilities. True about MCG's though, definitely can get lost there...!

MGC is my go-to place, I'm actually pretty close to where you're staying. Not reason to go to GC unless you want to play a fender through a markbass rig.

MGC is like an adult candy shop for musicians. I was just reading a rickenbaker thread about how hard they are to find... MGC has at least 3 on their wall right now. That you can just grab. And play through any amp into any cab you want. With any pedal you want. And the staff is fantastic...

I'm starting to see a common thread here. I've spent plenty of hours at Elderly's, maybe I just need to go spend a few more hours at MCG! ;)

Motor City is the best. Marty and his staff are the best in the business. I never shop anywhere else.

I thought you meant you had half a day to kill someone in Pontiac, Michigan.

This was sounding like the plot of some movie I might have seen.
