Hello! We have a well loved German 5/8 plywood bass for sale. This has been my primary bass for 5 years now. It does have a label and was built by a guild of German builders shortly after WWII. I have played it in several productions by The Little Theater of Manchester and Trinity Covenant Church. It is well maintained for its age and has a very, very precocious sound. All the seems are glued and stable, I had a new bridge custom cut and fitted, new wire for the tail piece, and a high quality carbon fiber endpin installed by Mike Assetta of Assetta Strings. The bridge is made of well-aged maple and tweaked using Chuck Traeger's methods for optimum sound (basically 'tuning' the tailpiece to the fingerboard and tweaking the soundpost). I did a full set up on the bass using the Traeger methods, matching the pitches for the ideal sonic sound. The spruce soundpost is in great shape and recently reset and adjusted. The bass also has a new set of Obligatos on it. It is a punchy, growly jazz bass and a sweet, uncanny arco bass. Due to the smaller scale, the bass is fast and easy to play and transport. As of right now, the bass needs nothing. I keep the bass in a humidified room (even though its a ply bass) and I keep it in the case when not regularly in use. The bass will come with a TKL Deluxe bass bag, brazilwood german bow with a softcase sleeve, a Yita Carbon Fiber bow (needs a rehair), and a David Gage Realist Pickup. I will also throw in some books for any students buying the bass (I am a school teacher by trade). I am very sad to see it go. I truly, truly love this bass, but we are need of money. 18 1/2 upper, 24 1/2 lower, ribs about 7 1/2.

I'm located in central CT and demos can be arranged. Looking to get $2500 for everything OBO. I will consider partial trades for bass guitars and cash in order to move this bass sooner, but we are primarily looking to sell it.

    Thanks for your interest!
