    SOLD!

1974 Rickenbacker 4001, recently had the truss rod end re-enforced, frets leveled and nut replaced with bone by a local luthier.
She may not be in pristine condition but the bass is 40 years old and plays like a dream. Action is low and it has modern electronics.

When I got the bass, there was nothing but an EMG jazz pickup in the bridge position so I returned it to Rickenbacker status.
(I'm very meticulous about the wiring in my basses)
-Modern Rick pickups with 4003 neck and HB1 in the bridge
    -Copper shielding installed
-Vol/Blend/Tone/Tone with three way switch and push pull for coil tap to turn HB1 into single coil
-Treble Bezel around bridge pickup for thumb resting

    Other previous owner modifications:
-Schaller bridge with spacing adjustment (wooden surround)
-Gotoh Tuners (bad install job seen in pictures, they work great, could be replaced with originals to cover the evidence.)

This bass isn't perfect but it functions amazing and sounds great. It's my favorite color combo and has an unmistakable charm to it. Any questions or requests for things not pictured just PM me.
    $1500 OBO
    SOLD!

Bumping it, bass is pretty awesome, under 9lbs and doesn't smell like some old basses!
How about $1450? I'll ship it in a hardcase (not the original case).

I'd rather have the cash right now but pm me your offer.
The only things I'd consider would be something aggressive sounding with a thin neck, lightweight and with mojo.
