    1983 G&L SB2 JJ

Update: With the maple neck this thing is a funk monster... too much tone. To get normal jazz bass sounds you have to put the tone about halfway. It's a bright slap funk monster with the tone the whole way up. VERY wide variety of tones out of this thing.

One of the best Jazz basses ever made. The G&L MFD J type pickups are big, clear and hot: a lot of output, with broad even response. Controls are volume and tone, with a Stratocaster-esque pickup selector for neck only/both/bridge only.

It has a maple SB-1 neck on it. Only difference between the the SB1 and SB2 neck is the logo. Onesays SB1 and the other says SB2

These are 'slab bodied" and have no forearm or tummy contours cut into the body.

Condition is 8. has some small chips in the neck pocket where the neck meets the body. The finish isn't perfect. I think it's nitro.

$700 plus shipping. It will come with a decent gig bag for $25. Will ship overseas with the neck off.
