Yea guys, it's probably just better to pass on this one. After all, near mint condition 5a wood 6 string imperials for 6500 bucks are pretty common. :eek:

I'm interested but have to ask: is it me or does it appear the stings barely have enough room to fit on the fingerboard? Looking at the bridge it looks like the B and C string saddle adjustments are set to their inside extreme settings. Is this just an illusion due to pic angle? Thnaks!

He means the way the way they sit in the B and C string saddles, both string saddles are move all the way in, meaning you cannot narrow the string spacing any further on the B and C string saddles. The picture you have posted illustrates this, nothing wrong with, there is just no room to move the B and C string saddles inward with the current bridge if someone wanted to.

Exactly. And it appears that if you were to move the saddles out and widen the string spacing, the B and C string would be off of the fingerboard. I'm quite interested in this bass but this does give me some concern.

This is a quote from JustThumpin, manager at Fodera and TB member.
If this is the case then the picture of this Imperial's bridge is set to 18.25" string spacing as it doesn't go any narrower. I really don't believe that spreading the saddle contacts to achieve 19mm spacing would make the outer strings so close to the edge of the fingerboard that it wouldn't be playable. Unless you need 20" string spacing I don't believe this should be an issue.

This is an amazing bass at an amazing price. Someone should be extremely wise and snatch it while the rest are thinking about it! Hmmmnnnn.....maybe I should be the wise guy!
