Is there a substantial amount of wood missing from under g string, from slapping? Noticed plastic film covering area, and absence of direct pictures of that particular area.

pedulla are you sure you posted in the correct thread? The OP's photos are pretty high-res. You can zoom in pretty good. I don't see any "wood missing". There is some light playing wear but it really doesn't look bad at all... I've seen much worse.

also I dont see any plastic film covering. there a line in one photo but it looks like a lighting anomaly.

    Bump for a nice bass!

There isnt any wood missing just wear from playing and I have never used any clear film on any of my basses that has wear.

Please forgive my cautiousness as with these wood basses, it is almost impossible to depict playing wear unless the camera is pointed directly at the worn spot. I bought this bass without knowing there was a deep worn spot, until I got it. These are 3,600.00 basses, and the prices are very fair, but when you go over, a 2,000 price tag on a used bass, detailed questions are a must, and no feelings should be hurt, even though high resolution pictures are taken. I work very hard on a blue collar job, and all questions are welcome and invited in my sales. good luck with your sale.

Can you advise where you're located, in case a test drive is available?
